Running a tournament means juggling many teams, venues, and matches at once. A little setup up front makes the whole event run smoothly. These tips will help you stay organized from the first fixture to the final.
Set up your teams and squads first
Before the tournament starts, create every participating team and add their players, including guests. Assign captains and vice-captains so squads are complete. Doing this early means match setup on game day is just a few taps.
Add your venues and umpires
Register each ground you will use and the umpires available. When you schedule matches you can then attach the right venue and officials without re-typing details every time.
Schedule matches in advance
- Create fixtures ahead of time so teams know when and where they play.
- Assign the two teams, venue, and date to each match.
- Keep an eye on overlaps so the same venue is not double-booked.
Track stats across the whole event
Because every match feeds the same statistics, you get running leaderboards for the tournament: top run-scorers, leading wicket-takers, and team standings. Review them between rounds to keep players and fans engaged.
On match day
Assign a scorer for each game, confirm the squads, and start scoring ball by ball. With setup done in advance, your organizers can focus on the cricket instead of the admin.
